Charity fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis at Beverly Airport. There were biplanes, private jets, helicopters, a "Touch a Truck" event, and a vintage Douglas DC-3. The DC-3 was my favorite. I had always wanted to see one up close and this one was open to walk through. It's a lot smaller inside than I expected. As was the incline walking up the aisle. The cockpit was tiny with a minimum of sound proofing. This one had few creature comforts but it had a small galley, sound system, and plush seats. They also had flight simulators working for kids to try. They were just laptops but had realistic control yoke. The instructor said my kids had natural flying talent!
