New England Air Museum
New England Air Museum on the grounds of Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks, CT holds an ecclectic display of civilian and military airplanes and related artifacts. Clear pictures were tough because there is so much stuff mixed in with the airplanes - bombs and ammunition, aircraft engines, model airplanes, airplane parts, and display boards. Highlights were the World War II bombers B-29 Superfortress and B-25 Mitchell, as I just finished reading the excellent book, "Hunting Warbirds", and the MiG fighter from the Chinese air force and the enormous Sikorsky VS-44 flying yacht. These planes are excellent examples of some of the rarest and most-important aircraft in history. Even though it doesn't seem like these planes will be flying again soon it was great to see them up close.
