Pebble Beach Tour
Thursday's tour of the Monterey peninsula by the entrants in the Pebble Beach Concours. This is an optional road rally with points earned for the Concours. The route takes them inland, then down Route 1 to the Carmel Mission, and then back up the coast to Carmel-by-the-Sea and back to Pebble Beach. These photos were taken along a stretch of coastline. I thought the sand dunes made for a nice contrasting backdrop to the spectacular cars. It was a long day waiting by the side of the road but worth it for the sights, sounds, and smells of the cars passing along.
Highlights are each of the Bentley Team race cars and the Birkin Blowers, the many examples of Bugatti coachwork, and the Ferrari 166MMs.
