Winter 2015 incl Blizzard Juno
Over 5 feet of snow in two weeks (and more on the way!)
Storm #1 (Blizzard Juno), January 26-27, 2015. 27".
One of the biggest storms in Massachusetts history. It was the 6th biggest blizzard in Boston history. We got about 27". It never really stopped snowing over 36 hours with 50+ mph wind gusts. A travel ban was in effect for Massachusetts.
Storm #2, February 3, 2015. 20".
The 2nd storm did not meet blizzard standards but dumped almost as much snow. We got about 20" in 24 hours. It blew away the previous record amount of snow in a 7 day period.
Storm #3 (The 4 Day Storm), February 9, 2015. 19".
Immediately after the 2nd storm forecasters were already hinting at the next Storm on deck. They initially described it as lasting 4 days (Sat-Tues) with about 12-14" by the end. Well, by Monday night we had around 18" and counting. And like the Blizzard the snow drifts made things extra deep and difficult. But the really disheartening aspect was that 7-10" fell each day instead of a one day storm it just dragged on.
Storm #4. February 12, 2015. Just a few inches.
Storm #5. February 14-15, 2015. Another Nor'easter in the making! 12-18 inches expected.
